The club committee has approved the following rules to govern the use of our four tennis courts. The aim of the rules is to ensure that all members received their fair share of time on the courts. Also the rules should remind members of their responsibilities to other members. The club committee reserves the right to change the rules as circumstances dictate.
1. Only members of the club can play on the courts.
2. The tennis courts are open for the following hours only - Monday to Friday after 4.30pm, and all Weekend.
3. Players are allowed to play for 1 hour. After the hour is over the game has to be abondoned if other players are waiting.
4. All players must fill out the Order-of-Play form before commencing their game. This form is located in a folder beside the main court-door opposite the school gym.
5. All waiting players and on-lookers are to remain outside the courts and should not disturb any games in progress.
6. If the game is less than 30 minutes old and it is a singles game, then the players have to offer two of the waiting players a game of doubles. This new game can play for 1 hour.
7. Non-members can play on the courts by paying €3 green fees (payable to a committee member). Green fees can only be paid on four occasions, thereafter non-members will have to join the club. If members are waiting to play then non-members will have to vacate their court immediately and their green fees will be refunded. The only exception will be if a non-member is playing with three other members.
8. Juvenile members cannot play after 6pm, throughout the entire week. At weekends Juvenile members can play until 6pm. Student members have the same playing rights as adult members.
