Welcome to the 2008 Club Championship
The club championship is the main competition in our annual schedule of events. Members aged 16+ can enter singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions. Every competition will have advanced, intermediate and beginner/social player categories. The various categories ensure that entrants will only play against other players of a similar standard - this will make the event enjoyable for all entrants. In addition events that have a large entry will have a Shield competition for players who exit in the first round.

Club Championship Rules
1. A match consists of best of 3 sets, with full tie break in all sets.
2.
Every player/team is responsible for calling the ball on his/her/their side of the
court. If the ball cannot be called out with 100% certainty then the
ball is ruled to be in. Aggressive line calling is not in the spirit of
the Club Championship.
3. Players are expected to play the game in a courteous and respectful manner. There are to be no disputes. If you can't resolve a dispute then play the point again with the server having two serves.
4. Once a match has started it can only be stopped and recontinued later if all of the players agree. Inability to complete a match due to injury or bad weather will cause a forfeit and the match result will be given to the opposition.
5. Players involved in a championship match can ask social players to move court or ultimately stop their game if it is disrupting the championship match. Please ask any committee member for help in this situation.
6. The tournament referee, Sean O'Shea, reserves the right to make rulings and change the rules as he deems appropriate.
7. All scores are to be quickly texted to the tournament referee Sean O'Shea on 085-1507484 after the match is complete.
